Decent W.3 Turbo Upgrade

I ordered the W.3 Turbo Upgrade a few weeks back. Installation was mostly smooth, but the instructions could have been a little clearer in one or two spots. The performance is definitely there; the car pulls a lot harder now. Shipping took about a week, which was okay. I did have a minor question about a hose clamp, and customer service got back to me the next day, which was good. Overall, I'm satisfied. It's a solid upgrade, just wish the instructions were a bit more detailed for a DIY type of person.

Got the exhaust system

Yeah so I finally pulled the trigger on an Exhaust System. I'd been thinking about it for a while, and just kinda went for it. It got to me pretty quick, took about 4 days to reach Phoenix. The sound is exactly what I wanted, deep and throaty but not obnoxious. Installation was a bit of a project for me and a buddy, but we got it done over a Saturday. My car feels like a whole new beast now. Really happy with how it turned out.

Good value for tune

I was looking to get more out of my car without spending a ton. I got the M157 ECU Tune during a holiday sale. It was 15% off, and that discount made it a really good deal. Felt like I got solid performance for what I paid. The process was straightforward, and the power increase was noticeable. Definitely worth the purchase for someone on a budget.

What's the deal with returns if I buy something like an exhaust system and it just doesn't fit my car right, or I change my mind? Is it a pain to send stuff back?

I returned a set of lowering links last year cause I went with a different setup. Returns were pretty straightforward if the part wasn't installed. Just make sure to read their policy on performance parts, usually there's a timeframe you gotta hit.

I think as long as it's not installed and within their return window, it should be fine. Performance parts sometimes have stricter rules though, so double-check on their site for the exact details, especially if it's something big like an exhaust.

Hey, thinking about grabbing that M177 ECU tune. Anyone know if this kind of mod typically voids your factory warranty? Don't wanna pull the trigger and then have issues down the line with the dealer.

B Brandon T. 2 weeks ago
Yeah, pretty much any performance tune from anywhere, including Weistec, is gonna be a red flag for your dealer if you have an engine warranty claim. Just how it is with aftermarket stuff.

You're right to ask. From what I've seen, generally, performance software modifications like ECU tunes can definitely impact your factory warranty, especially for powertrain components. Most manufacturers aren't too keen on covering issues if they can link it to an aftermarket tune.
